MECHANICSVILLE, MARYLAND (April
18th, 2024) – The Atomizer
Racing Injector Door Wars presented
by ATI Performance Products is back
at Maryland International Raceway
(MIR) April 26th – 28th bringing the
best door slammer heads up action to
MIR in 2024. From the thunderous
roar of the Northeast Outlaw Pro
Mods, to the wheel standing Warriors
Outlaws, and the close racing action
of the 1320 Fabrication ET Series
presented by East Coast Collision,
this event will have a bit of
something for everyone.
The
Atomizer Racing Injectors Door Wars
presented by ATI Performance
Products will bring plenty of heads
up racing action. The Northeast
Outlaw Pro Mod Association (NEOPMA),
Warrior Outlaws (W/O), Maryland
Performance Center Real Street
(R/S), DMV N/T Heavy Hitters (HH),
DMV N/T Heavy Hitters Street (HHS),
and Top Sportsman Quick 16 (T/S)
will be competing in the Pro and
Heads Up categories. The NEOPMA
racers will be kicking off their
racing season at this event with
defending champion Derek Ward
starting the chase to go
back-to-back. Each of these classes
will bring a stellar variety of
action for racing fans everywhere.
Records will be reset, championship
chases will begin, and in the end,
one driver from each class, will
stand above the rest.
The 1320 Fabrication ET Series
presented by East Coast Collision
will also be running with the Door
Wars event. Top ET and Mod ET will
both run at this event. Hubble
Motorsports Junior Dragsters will
not be running at this event in
2023. While still early in the
season, current points leaders
Rickey Nelson (Top ET) and John
Mattera (Mod ET) will work on
building their points leads this
season.
Returning
2024 will be ThunderMania!
ThunderMania will bring back-to-back
pro sessions on Saturday night
starting at 6pm with final chance
qualifying and 1st round
eliminations. Fans will be able to
see all of their favorite heads up
cars fighting it out to qualify for
the field or dig to find a little
more to make it to the next round.
After the 8pm session, MIR is
lighting up the night sky with a
grand finale style fireworks show!

starting at 6pm on Saturday night!
On Friday April 26th, MIR will host
a Pro Testing session that will be
$150 per car. This pro session will
start at 10am and run through the
Friday evening Test and Tune that
will
end at 10pm. The track will be
prepped every two hours starting
Noon. The Pro Session is open to all
Pro Mods, W/O, R/S,HH, HHS, T/S, and
ET racers. Friday night’s Test and
Tune will start at 5pm and will be
open only to Door Wars participants.
Friday night will also bring one Pro
Qualifier for the heads-up classes.
Saturday will bring one Sportsman
Time Trial in the morning at 9am and
will go straight into eliminations
after at approximately 1130am. The
second Pro Qualifying session of the
day will be at 2pm. Final Chance
Qualifying for the NEOPMA and
eliminations for the W/O, R/S, HH,
and HHS will be starting at 6pm on
Saturday. NEOPMA first round will be
at 8pm with all other heads up
classes going into second round. On
Sunday, new entry Sportsman racers
only will get one time run and will
go straight into eliminations.
Second round eliminations for the
NEOPMA will start at 11am.
